The Bar Examination Application is available only to applicants who hold a valid certification of Fitness. The Bar Examination application is submitted to the Board of Bar Examiners. This application is not available on-line.
BAR EXAMINATION FILING DEADLINES can be found in the Rules Governing Admission to the Practice of Law on this website. Failure to meet the regular bar examination filing deadline requires a late fee in addition to regular fees.
TRANSCRIPTS are not required by the Fitness Board as a part of the Application for Certification of Fitness to Practice Law. However, before you will be permitted to take the bar examination, you must have caused your schools to provide (1) a transcript from the college / university which awarded your undergraduate degree and (2) a transcript from the law school which awarded your first professional degree in law. These must be official transcripts sent directly to the Office of Bar Admissions from the schools involved and must indicate the degree and the date awarded. If you wish to request your transcripts at this time, they will be placed in an alphabetical holding file until your Bar Examination Application is received.
