Modifications to the Rules for July 2021 Remote Bar Exam
The Supreme Court passed an Order on April 15, 2021, which modifies portions of the Rules Governing Admission to the Practice of Law. The modifications include:
1. "Notwithstanding any provision to the contrary in Part B, Section 2 of the Rules, any applicant certified as fit to practice law after the deadline for filing an application to take the July, 2, 2021 examination shall be allowed until June 14, 2021 to file an application to take the examination."
2. "Notwithstanding any provision to the contrary in Part B, Section 2 of the Rules, an applicant who fails to file a timely application to take the July 2021 bar examination or fails to submit charges to the National Conference of Bar Examiners shall nevertheless be permitted to take the examination if he or she files an application to do so and pays a late fee of $200 and submits all applicable charges on or before June 14, 2021."
